poop. We're talking about pet waste on today's podcast and I get a lot of questions about

this because I've covered many different ways of composting, Bokashi composting,

and one of the questions I get whenever I put

And so let's go ahead and explore this answer, but the first thing I want to talk about is how much poop our pets are actually making.

So when we walk around and you know you take your pet on a walk and

he or she poops and then you scoop it up with one of those little doggy bags and

throw it out it's really not the best thing to do to the environment.

Now everyone has their own tolerances of the level at which they will change their

Landfills just really aren't great places to put biodegradable wastes. It's not a good idea in the long

term of the planet, right? So how much does a dog poop a day to get a sense of how much we're actually

putting into that landfill? It says, the Alaska study says that an average dog

excretes about three quarters of a pound of waste a day so you have around

two hundred seventy five pounds a year

not that big a problem but even in my old apartment complex i used to live in there were like
