Friends, welcome back to the Ransom TARP Podcast. To be honest, I don't know how many of our

friends are listening in this week here in that very strange in-between time. Christmas is just a few days behind us now,

New Year's Eve, New Year's, a lot of people are off work.

Anyway, for the four of you who are joining us,

welcome back.

We pray that you had a good holiday time,

whatever that looked like. it was just you and God or you

with friends you with family I want to come back this week with just some very simple thoughts,

kind of help your heart back into Jesus.

And I say back into Jesus because,

as we were talking about in last week's Advent podcast,

there's something very disruptive about the holidays.

And we tend to, despite our best plans and intentions, we tend to kind of abandon those rhythms that

keep us grounded in God.

There's either a lot of activity or there's travel or whatever it is. We abandon it.

We abandon is it that time in the morning that you have, is that your regular alone time, is worship you know those things that we typically

do maybe it's our small groups those things that kind of help us stay in God kind of tends to sort of get washed away around the holidays and then

you end up feeling bumped out of God, out of intimacy, out of a centeredness, and we just kind of want to help

you get back there this week.

Oh, and we need it, John. I need help there.

I think historically in the rhythm of Craig McConnell,

this is just typically the worst week of the year.
