It seems so crazy how close Thanksgiving and Christmas were this year.

You know, we had such a late Thanksgiving that the first Sunday of Advent was actually Thanksgiving weekend.

I don't know, this one has felt awfully compact.

Pitched.

Yeah.

Stacy and I had flown to Vancouver to visit Blaine and his new wife, Emily, our new daughter,

up there for Thanksgiving.

It was a wonderful time and great, great, great to see them.

We were sitting in the Vancouver airport

in a going to fly home knowing that several very busy weeks were ahead of us and we're just exhausted.

And we were just struck by, man I love the holidays and man they're exhausting.

Yes.

This last weekend we had some family and two of my six grandchildren in.

And John, the same emotion, my first word, I wish it was wonderful.

Wonderful time of the family is actually my second word.

The first one is, just sheer exhaustion.

I'm going, how am I going to make it through Christmas day when I have six grandchildren,

both my daughters, their husbands, and some other family? It's like, ah, you know, you talked a couple of weeks ago about there's the holiday and then there's the holy day and boy if it's not a holy day. I'm not going to make it through the holiday.

Yeah. It's just incredible.

Yep.
