Summary

In this special four-part mini-series, “Come Back to God” Lisa Whittle dives into the true heart of revival — emphasizing that real revival begins within each individual. She explores how revival is not just a grand, public event but a personal encounter with God that sparks inward before it ignites outward. Drawing from biblical examples like Pentecost and the Welsh Revival, Lisa encourages listeners to seek revival in their own hearts through hunger, conviction, tenderness, obedience, and returning to their first love. If you’re feeling dry, stuck, or spiritually numb, this episode will reignite your desire for God’s transformative power in your life.

It didn't start with a microphone. It started with prayer. Revival is not far away. It's not complicated. It's not

unreachable. It is as close as your heart and my heart is ready and willing and wants God.

Well, it has been a minute since I've been on this mic, and I just have to say,

What do you think of when I say that word?

1:08.3

Big stadiums, crowds of people worshipping, lights, and a big production,

perhaps. When we hear the word revival, a lot of those images might pop into our minds,

1:20.8

maybe tent meetings, fiery preaching, packed out churches, miracles, salvations, the whole thing.

1:26.9

And those moments are beautiful. God

1:29.8

absolutely uses them. And I think those elements are often present. But here's the thing.

1:36.5

If you think about what really happens in revival, revival is never first and foremost a public

1:42.9

event. It's a personal encounter. And that may happen

1:48.6

publicly or it may spill out into a public space, but it doesn't have to and certainly doesn't

even almost always start that way. Before the world hears the sounds of revival.

2:03.3

God hears the cries of a hungry heart.

Before a crowd gathers, someone prays.

Before fire falls publicly.
