Summary

Emily Covert joins the podcast today.

Emily is an incredibly accomplished runner for the University of Colorado, where she is a four-time All-American. Most notably, Emily placed fourth last year at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. She holds PRs of 15:35.4 in the 5k and 32:30.82 in the 10k. In high school, Emily was a multi-time Minnesota state champion and was consistently one of the top runners in the country. On the grass, she placed 4th at NXN, and on the track, she placed 2nd at New Balance Outdoor Nationals.

In this conversation, Emily takes us through her journey in the sport, from state titles in high school to ambitions of winning an NCAA title in college. She takes us through her setbacks, including dealing with stress fractures, mono, and more. I loved hearing Emily's thoughts on setbacks and how she gets through them. Emily also talks about leadership, community, playing the long game, the importance of her faith, and much more!

I loved this conversation with Emily. Emily is an incredibly joyful spirit and a wise demeanor that made this conversation extra insightfuk. I'm confident you'll walk away from this conversation a little more inspired to go after whatever you're striving for in life.
