Welcome back as we dust down another great show from our archives.

I've always thought, you know, some of those shows are absolutely evergreen that we did

10, even 15 years ago.

And this is a great way of bringing some of them out into the light of day.

Again, our classic replay midweek edition, I'm Justin Browley.

And today, we're going back to September 2012 when a controversial blog post by Jared

Wilson, quoting pasted Doug Wilson on the role of men and women in sex, re-ignited the

debate between complementarians and egalitarians.

Rachel Helder Evans was a popular US author, blogger and speaker who often spoke about the

New Testament supporting the equality of men and women in the church and in the home of

the egalitarian view.

Very sadly, Rachel passed away in 2019 quite unexpectedly.

And so it was a great sadness to many people in the church, including those across the

art from her when the news of her death came through.

But this show goes to give a little bit of a memory of the role she played from sparking

these important conversations.

Owen Strand is a theology professor at Boise College, Ken Tucky, who believes that the

Bible teachers that men and women have equal dignity but different roles in the family

in church, the complementary view.

And the UK church blogger Adrian Moorlock joined this conversation too as we discussed

reactions to the Wilson blog post.
