Richard Carrier, one of the world's foremost proponents of the mythicist view of Jesus

joined me for this one, arguing Jesus never actually existed as a historical person.

He explained his theory that St Paul only ever spoke of Jesus in the spiritual realm and

that gospels are extended parables.

Well, for this one Mark Gudeca joined us, who test him a professor at Duke University

and he contended that Carrier's mythicist view was extremely farfetched and that the evidence

for the historical Jesus is beyond reasonable doubt.

This was a classic, which is why it's made it into the classic replay.
