And as we were doing our pre-interview, where we get acquainted with people who are going

point of view, I found out that Bill is a fellow New Yorker and that he started in UFO research early, early

on.

Tell us what attracted you to the subject.

Well, there were a couple of things.

One was the fact that my father had been in the military.

When he was retired, he was an Air Force general. So, you know, I heard a lot of

stories from pilots about UFOs. Now, having grown up in the 60s, most of the stories I heard

were pretty interesting because they were in direct contrast to what you'd hear on television.

You know, it would always be these stories about, you know, people that were untrained observers,

I didn't know what they were looking at, seeing these odd-looking things in the sky,

that were probably just conventional planes or birds or whatever.

But, you know, it's a little different when you've got a guy that's flying a multi-thousand

or even multi-million dollar aircraft, you know, saying that he saw something that he couldn't

identify.

And many of these people were, you know, veterans of World War II, veterans of Korea.

You know, they were in the military for a substantial amount of time.

A lot of my father's friends left the military but didn't leave the aviation industry,

many of the things that became commercial pilots.
