On the 7th and 8th of May, Chamberlain's government came under pressure.

People were very impatient with him and had the sense that they were losing the war.

And so there was a debate scheduled on the 8th and 9th of May,

and it threatened the fall of the government. And Churchill led in the debate as the chief

defender of Neville Chamberlain. He actually said in the debate, and he knew if the government
