Eve. If you are listening in real time, it's Christmas Eve, and I am taking a page out of the book of Catholicism and doing a Christmas

Eve confessional episode. I asked you all to share confessions anonymously. You delivered.

I am going to be reading, responding, reacting to your confessions. Mormons do confessions, too, to be fair.

But I have been finding myself feeling quite jealous of Catholicism. Any ex-Catholics listening,

you had such a better aesthetic than Mormons did. When you're a Mormon and you need to confess, you go into an

office that has carpet on the walls and is like 90 style and you confess to a middle-aged man

probably across a desk where if you're a Catholic, at least as I imagine it, or as I've seen it in the movies,

you get to go in one of those confessional booths. You're probably in a gorgeous cathedral.

You're hidden from the person that you're actually talking to, but they're probably in like

the fancy priest robes. It just feels so much more romanticized of a confession experience, not to take away from the fact

that I think confession is not a great practice, generally speaking, but if you're going to have

to do it, it's at least nice if it looks good. I've actually found myself on the Catholic

Christmas side of TikTok where people will do

these like montages, like nostalgic montages of what a Catholic Christmas felt like.

And it almost has me wanting to attend a Christmas mass.

I actually did that growing up.

I don't know why my dad did this.

Maybe it was a holdover from his mission in Germany
