Hello, my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. You know, as we are going through

this Advent season, it is my hope that these thoughts that I'm sharing from the scriptures

that are focusing on the birth and the work of Jesus are an encouragement to you. I'm

hopeful that it helps you reorient your perspective about Christmas this year so that we can

take our focus off of all the mess that's going on in the world around us and remember

who's behind the mess, pulling the strings, working history and every event, every action,

every word for his glory that really is the confidence that Christmas provides to us.

Did you realize that the fact that God sent his only son as a light and a salvation for

us as human beings overcomes all those things because it's through the coming of his son

that he established his kingdom on earth through Jesus Christ and through his church

as agents of the kingdom. Do you realize that we are the light of the world through the

power that Jesus gives us? And today's we look at Psalm 27 1 through 3. We're going

to hear David encouraging himself with those truths and we can borrow his phrasing and

his mindset to encourage ourselves in the times in which we live. Let's read it together.

Psalm 27 verses 1 through 3. The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the stronghold of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?

When evil doers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble

and fall. Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. The war arise against

me, yet I will be confident. Now friends, when you hear David's words, do you feel the confidence

that he was not only sensing was his in the Lord, but he also was striving to encourage

himself with? David had a confidence because he knew that the statement he made at the very
