attend all right we are looking at Romans chapter 12 at a long list of behaviors and

characteristics that the apostle Paul says are true of us as believers.

And I want you to focus on that statement for a moment.

These things are true of us believers. Sometimes when you read a list like this it can feel a little

overwhelming. Like you don't have any hope that you'll be able to attain all these things.

Well the Holy Spirit of God has given us the ability to do all of these

things because he lives in us and he desires to live through us. So my friends have hope as you read

a list like this. Now we're looking at verse 10 today and it says

love one another with brotherly affection, outdo one another in showing honor.

Now this one another sort of statement should always tip us off to the fact that Paul is writing to a group of people not just individuals like you and like me.

He's writing to the entire group and in this case it was the church, the believers who lived in

the city of Rome. But we by proxy get to read and

understand he's talking to us as well because that's God's purpose for the

scripture. It's to pass it down through time so we all have his truth in black and white on the page.

So he's saying to us today we are to love each other.

That's me love you.

You love me. Me love my pastor. Me love my in-laws who are believers. Me love other

believers no matter where I meet them. You see this is a standing order for all believers in Jesus Christ.
