Welcome to Karen Hunter's awesome. I'm Karen Hunter. And this Jesus season, we're exploring a lot about religion. He is risen. Yes, as I've shared in this space,

my relationship to God, Jesus Christ, the Bible has been a journey for me. And I'm really

grateful to have gone on this journey because many of us were forced into Christianity. Many of us were forced into having

to go to church every Sunday. Some people go to church every Saturday because that's the actual Sabbath.

If you're a follower of Islam, you go to temple because a lot of times it is cultural. But I went on my

own journey of reading and studying and examining my heart and trying to figure

out what I really believe and I've landed on some things. And one of the things I've landed on

is that a lot of what we've been taught is not Jesus. A lot of the people walking around calling

themselves Christians have no idea what that means.

They would not give a person their coat if they asked for it.

They would not feed somebody who was hungry.

They would not house somebody that needed housing.

They would not treat widows and orphans and women in the least of these like family. They would

just not. They would not treat people well because they're not doing it. I believe if we lived

in a truly Christian society, I'm talking about follower of Jesus, Johassafat, the Lord Christ,

which was not any of his name.

So I'm saying that on purpose.

That was not his name.

But those of you who wear a cross, put a little fish,

Icarus on your car, profess your love of Jesus.

You're in church all the time.

If you all were truly followers of that word,
