third part in the six-part mission series is the enemy. Father John reveals the lies the demonic

one can continually tell us and the deception that he brings before our eyes and ears,

all in an unending effort to separate us from our loving fathers.

Well, tonight we tackle a little bit of the bad news in that I want to talk tonight about the devil.

Certainly one of the more provocative figures in the passion of the Christ

is the way that Gibson portrays the demonic.

I think it's a very effective way of portraying the devil.

It certainly brings you into a greater awareness that what Jesus is involved in

and what we're all involved in is a conflict of a far greater awareness that what Jesus is involved in and what we're all involved in is

a conflict of a far greater level than we probably ever thought.

So whether it's the scene with Jesus and Satan in the garden at the beginning of the movie,

or the way they portray the encounters with Judas and the devils, or Satan's presence,
