That's Lule Demisei and it's fair to say she has transformed every constraint in her life into an opportunity.

Today Lulay is the US CEO of a global investment company called Itoro.

And Lulay is a friend. We first met two decades ago. Exactly. We were in the same social circle.

These ambitious young New Yorkers looking to make our marks. I always admired Lulay for her incredible resilience. Even then I understood that she was unique.

She was born in Ethiopia and she'd left the country along with their family to escape political instability.

She lived on three different continents before she started her bachelor's at Smith.

Now Lulay went on to get her MBA at Columbia University and she's a big proponent of

M.A's. When it was time for her to head out into the world, her citizenship became tied completely to her employment.
