If you woke up this morning wondering why we appear to be stoking

up fights with China, Russia and Saudi Arabia, you wouldn't be alone. The Chinese government

is warning us not to make an enemy of them by ditching the Huawei deal. The Russians are threatening

retaliatory measures over the UK's new hostile sanctions against the Kremlin and Saudi Arabia

has been identified as having 20 notorious

individuals and or organisations that are responsible for human rights abuses. This is all the work

of Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, himself a former human rights lawyer, who has persuaded the

government that it's time to stand up to these rogue nations who go around the world doing

whatever they like. China's threats to launch a

trade war against the UK if they are not allowed to be part of our 5G communications network. It's

surely proof enough of why we shouldn't be in business with them, isn't it? London is already

awash with billions of pounds from Chinese and Russian investors, oligarchs and the like,

and the petro dollars from the Middle East are responsible for oiling many of the wheels of commerce in our capital city.

Is it a price worth paying?
