dot us pray give go.us I want to start today by taking a few minutes to look at a couple of articles about China's

current struggles, mostly economic in nature.

Then I'm going to look for just a moment at, again, at Jimmy Carter's China legacy.

I want to read a little bit from his own words, answering questions about

his legacy and what he did there many, many years ago, many decades ago now. And then I'm going

to tell a few stories that date back to this time in the year, early January, looking back

in history, my own ministry, and then much, much before

that as well.

The first thing I want to look at here is from the Financial Times, the Financial Times.

gave me to look at, and it's talking about China's currency and how it has weakened to what they say is a 16-month low following strong U.S.

Economic data at the time. And China's currency, which is affected by their economy, fell to

7.33 RMB against the dollar on Wednesday.

So just to give an example, during our years in China, I forget what year it was during the last 20 years,

the currency, China's currency had strengthened and reached up to about six R&B, RIMB to the U.S.
