My name is Philip Kulenshov and this is 300 seconds about business.

We're all a busy people, so I have five minutes or less to get my point across.

Committing to something that's less than five minutes isn't that difficult. It's easy to press play on a Business 300 episode.

And because we're free people, you don't even need to finish the episode.

If it gets wearisome two minutes in, the only consequence of not finishing the entire five minutes

is that you'll miss out on all that

value in the remaining three. If Business 300 plays chicken with you, you can fold and not feel too bad.

But what about when your business plays chicken with you? What do you do when the problems don't let out?

You stare them in the face, trying with all your effort not to flinch, but instead of yielding or even

whimpering, your

business problems seem to be mocking you. Not only can their legs maintain the pressure of the

game and not let out, their hands are busy sabotaging your efforts. What should you do when

you're under continual pressure to fold? Consider the consequence. If you're tempted to fold, consider the consequence.

Consider the consequence of two things. First, consider the consequence of folding. If you give

into the pressure and let go of your effort to bring order into chaos, what is the consequence?

What will happen as a result of you folding? Sure, maybe there is

some emotional weight to sunk costs, even though they call it a fallacy. You've put in all this

effort thus far, it's hard to fold. Letting go will determine all that meaningless. So speak your

emotions. But emotions aren't a reliable partner when playing chicken. You'll look to your emotions for support and reinforcement when you need it most, and they're

standing in the corner of the room shivering with fear and full of uncertainty.

You can be certain of one thing.
