From the land of the free and the home of the chiefs, this is the

locked on chiefs podcast. The chiefs of the

rest of the NFL are getting ready to get into free agency and there's a hub

up going on before they get to it.

Welcome back to lockdown chiefs and there is a ton going on as the chiefs try to

sort through the situation leading up to free agency which is due to start next

week. A lot of questions for the chief's

roster a couple of big ones hanging out there we're gonna talk with Matt Derek from

Chief's digest today get his insight into where things stand with the

chiefs and the big name players that they need to get squared

away when it comes to do contracts, tags, etc.

As well as a bunch of players that are going to be the secondary group that you have a better chance

at resign because their salaries aren't going to be as demanding but it is a lot to

process and before they can get to any of that they have to get the CBA done or things are going to actually turn, I think, a bit for the worse in terms

of getting signings done. A lot of hubbub about what's going on with that particular organization the NFL PAs come under fire on Monday

and it comes down to whether the players feel like they're actually being represented in

earnest by the NFL PA.

Russell O'Kung has led a group of players that feels that that is not the case

and that their base interests are not being prioritized by the NFLPA and at this point the owners have painted themselves

into a position of power with this CBA with tempting so many on the middle zone and the lower end of the

pay scale within the NFL players association to want to sign this to ratify this proposal.

While the upper crust, the players that make the most money on every roster,
