film reviews etc etc. Check out RGR football on YouTube. The news that we got over the weekend is that there has been some movement just a starting of the engine so to speak about the chiefs speaking with Chris Jones and his representation about trying to get a deal done.

As we record this, there has been no movement as of yet, but the deadline is coming very soon.

It is Wednesday at 4 PM.m. Eastern for the franchise tags to stop negotiation

and be done for the year we'll see what happens but I'm starting to become

not as pessimistic.

We've heard that the bulk of the off season they have not spoken.

There just hasn't been any movement.

And that falls in line with what Brett Veitch has told us, point blank this whole time is that they needed to get the Mahomes deal done beforehand, before they could address Chris.

And now, knowing what we know about the length of the Mahomes deal and how intricate all the guarantees are and the revolving pieces of it, a very complex contract, a very long contract in 10 years.

I can understand now even more so than I thought

before about how specifically they had to put all their effort into getting

the Mahomes deal done and now they can take a step back and get back to looking at

Chris Jones and what he needs and what he wants and how they can try to meet in the middle.

The clock is ticking.
