be rejoining them.

They have agreed to a one-year contract with quarterback Matt Moore who filled in

so admirably for Patrick Mahomes after his knee injury and actually rode through

the middle of that season on the way to the Super Bowl last year they're going to have him back in the

fold for training camp whenever that should start and it looks like they're still

talking about the end of this month. That means that quarterback Shay Patterson has been let go and while that's unfortunate for him

I think you can understand that having somebody that not only is certainly got the overall career experience, but specifically has experience in this

offense is the way to go. I personally feel like I would have wanted to try to get more back

right away. Maybe that was the case and it just didn't work out, but

eventually it's come down to this point where they've been able to get Matt more back.

And I feel like he's more than competent and after last year's success I feel should they need a backup I think this is now competition for Chad Henney as the backup and given the contract situation that they're in now with Chris Jones and what they've just agreed to do in that mammoth contract for Patrick Mahomes,

I can actually see a quarterback battle in the making for the backup spot.

We don't have specific terms of what the money's going to be format more, but we have to assume that it's going to be less than what Cheed Henney is scheduled to make,

which I believe is 1.25 base salary this particular season.

He did just do a new deal for two years at 3.25 overall

there is a guarantee in there and so his cap number this year is 1.625 and that
