A natural-born networker and connector, she reached out to her friends and professional acquaintances and got them to pitch in. Today, Full Heart Full Bellies is an official 501c3 and Millie is determined to do even more for those who are food insecure, inspired by one of her heroes, Chef José Andrés of World Central Kitchen. I always like to end the year talking to someone who has inspired me over the past 12 months, and that person is Chef Millie Pairtree. And yes, that's her real name. Millie and I got to know each other in late 2019.
0:38.7	After her restaurant, Millie Pear Tree Fish Fry and Soul Food in the Bronx was forced to shut down right during the holidays because of a problem with the gas lines in the building that housed her restaurant.

0:55.2	everything pulled out from under her. She's bounced back in the two years since, and it was by
1:00.2	helping others that she was able to get back her Millie Mojo. Last year, in response to the pandemic,

1:11.4	longer getting school meals. She's dedicated herself tirelessly to the cause, and it's now a 501c3.
