He is the Honorary Consul to the Republic of Uganda, an attorney, and the founder of Love Does—a nonprofit human rights organization operating in Uganda, India, Nepal, Iraq, and Somalia. 0:09.7	My dad, who, if you've been listening to the podcast, I had a very complicated relationship with.
0:14.9	He didn't play an active role in raising me, and I felt very abandoned by him in many ways and and still do even though now
0:23.7	he's gone. But my father late in his life got a very aggressive form of cancer and we did get to
0:32.7	know each other on a really deep level before he left. And one of the strange transformations that happened,

0:42.5	is kind of out of left field, he became really spiritual.
0:47.8	He became a God guy, and he was always an intellectual before.

0:54.6	He would kind of hobble from piece of furniture
0:56.8	to piece of furniture using his arms as a third and fourth feet
1:02.0	on countertops to hop from one thing to the other.
1:04.9	And when he would get a little thing done,

1:08.9	One of the obsessions he had towards the end is he became obsessed with the idea of him

1:19.9	And he had this whole plan for how he was going to book Bob Goff and charter a plane to go to his very remote place in British Columbia, Canada.
