Summary

Bob Goff is the author of the New York Times bestselling books Love Does and Everybody, Always and Dream Big. He is the Honorary Consul to the Republic of Uganda, an attorney, and the founder of Love Does—a nonprofit human rights organization operating in Uganda, India, Nepal, Iraq, and Somalia. He's a lover of balloons, cake pops, and helping people pursue their big dreams. You can typically find Bob writing and taking calls from his boat, welcoming people to his Southern California retreat center- The Oaks, or at an event speaking. Bob's greatest ambitions in life are to love others, do stuff, and, most importantly, to hold hands with his wife, Sweet Maria Goff, and spend time with their amazing kids. 0:47.8

He became a God guy, and he was always an intellectual before.

0:52.2

He could hardly get around.

0:54.6

on countertops to hop from one thing to the other.

1:04.9

And when he would get a little thing done,

1:06.3

he'd go, yay, God.

1:08.9

One of the obsessions he had towards the end is he became obsessed with the idea of him

1:15.7

booking today's guest Bob Goff on my show.

1:19.9

And he had this whole plan for how he was going to book Bob Goff and charter a plane to go to his very remote place in British Columbia, Canada.

1:33.6

I didn't tell him that my mom and Bob were actually close friends and I could probably manage to

1:39.2

book Bob Goff on my show just fine, but I just, I let him have it. It was complicated. On one hand, it was just

1:46.7

another thing that he didn't follow through on. He did not book Bob Goff on my show. On the other

1:52.6

hand, it was amusing to watch him interested in this specific person. So reading Bob Goff's books for prepping for this interview
