Today's tip is to change something that you've stopped seeing.

So much in life becomes background scenery after a while. Noticing and making a change can

have a big impact on your happiness. A few years ago, a business leader who was about to be interviewed on camera in his office,

asked me for some advice.

Aside from smiling and wearing solid colors, my biggest tip, take a look around and note any piles of paper or items that he had long since stopped seeing.

He might want to move those. On camera, he'd see them with fresh eyes and he might really cringe.

It is so easy to stop noticing things that we see all the time.

I know this is true for me.

I have a very strong tendency to just make do. If something isn't broken, well, why bother

it? But I've also seen in my life that making a little change can have an outsized impact.

For instance, this spring, I finally got around to changing the background on my phone.
