Hi everybody, welcome to Coach's Corner. So happy to have you here. As the holidays are upon us,

0:09.2

I just want to remind you that they can come with a lot of expectations. Expectations you may have

0:15.1

of people, expectations people may have of you. And just remember, expectations are a great way to get disappointed, to build

0:24.1

resentment, and to not get what you really want. So I encourage you at this time of year,

0:29.3

set clear boundaries, make clear agreements, and really focus on everything you have,

0:34.8

all the things you're really grateful for and appreciative of versus

0:38.5

anything that's not working. And I really doubly encourage you not to buy into the whole holiday

0:44.7

stress. I know it's a little late to say that. I probably should have started talking about this a

1:14.7

out of holiday season, obligations, perfectionism, pressure, any of those things that don't fall

1:21.3

into the magic of the season category. I really invite you to let those go as best you can and often it is a process.

1:30.0

And if you need any support managing expectation hangovers or any disappointment you may have

1:35.1

or just stress in general, I encourage you to go to Audible and get my book Expectation Hangover,

1:41.5

which I re-released in my voice. I recorded it this year. And it is out on

1:47.2

Audible Now. Makes a great gift as well. And I love expectation hangover at this time of year because it's a

1:54.2

clearing book. It's a book that really helps you clear out anything that's not serving you. So you can

1:59.2

start your new year with clarity.

2:01.6

All right, everybody. Today I have on the show a very dear friend who I've known and worked with

2:06.5

for a very long time. You may know of him. His name is Mark Sisson. He's widely regarded as
