It can be messy. It can be upsetting. Today we're going to share with you a little bit of how

0:16.4

that is developing, I guess you could say. Yeah, because we had a podcast a few months

0:21.9

ago. So this is kind of an update and some more things that we've learned.

Dealing with aging parents brings on a very complex set of emotions. I think it's one of the

0:42.9

hardest things you're ever going to have to do, especially managing, I think, a relationship

0:48.2

where one of your parents is suffering from debilitating slow progressing or maybe fast

0:55.3

1:44.1

that there's a history, there's a history that you have with that parent. There's a personality

1:49.9

change in our situation. Again, we're going to speak a lot about dementia and Alzheimer's. But

1:56.3

I'm just going to speak a little bit bread and I'm going to turn it over to you if you don't mind.

2:00.0

Because I don't want to say I'm an outsider, but like it's Brett's father. And so what I've noticed,

2:04.9

first of all, when I came into the family, like his father is the definition of patriarch.

2:11.6

Like he was a patriarch for this county. He's a patriarch for thousands of boys and even families

2:18.7

that came under his wing really. Like he's the most protective, caring, also at times controlling
