Uh, Capote, uh, which got nominated for Best Picture, just a slew of picture,

actor nominations. It was directed by Bennett Miller, who's also the

director of Moneyball from 2011, Fox Catcher from 2014 and written by Dan

Futterman who is a writer who also collaborated with Bennett Miller on the movie Fox Catcher.

Both were childhood friends, Philip Seymour Hoffman,

who plays the titular Capote

and took home Oscar Gold for this just amazing and precise

portrayal of this very, very interesting, complicated man

and during a defining period of his life.

It stars, as I said, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Es Capote,

Catherine Keener, who does an amazing job at playing Harper Lee.

Yes, that Harper Lee.

Yes, that Harper Lee, the Killer Mockingbird Harper Lee.

Clifton Collins Jr. who you might remember as Lawrence from Westworld plays a drifter that Capote gets involved in in this murder investigation.

Bruce Greenwood plays Philip, not Philip Seymour, Capote's long-term romantic interest and partner.

Amy Ryan, you might recognize from the office, is also in this movie playing the wife of

an investigator from Kansas and then Chris Cooper.

Chris Cooper is that investigator and he's he's playing the gruff paternal figure that

he always see him in movies.

Sometimes he's a good guy, sometimes he's a bad guy, but he's always gruffing and very fatherly.
