Jim and I for the first time and a long time are able to do a first run movie

because Spike Lee's new joint

the five bloods debuted on Netflix just last Friday. It was supposed to have a limited theatrical run, but COVID came and

Spike took a look at the disproportionate deaths that black folk are suffering in Corona and

said, nope, release it on Netflix.

So we were able to finally get a first run movie. It was of course written and directed by

Spike Lee. Credited writers also include Danny Bilsen, Paul De Mayo, and

Kevin Wilmont. It stars Delroy Lindo, which you might recognize when

Sider House Rules, get Shorty, the core, and he's also worked with Spike on

Malcolm X, Crooklin, and Clockers. What's the one that you, did you recognize him for him?

Yeah, uh, Congo like he's in a bunch of shit for the 90s. But we just on the the Australian

Lester smooth from the wire and also Tremay. Norm Lewis who I guess is theater famous you know he's done a lot of like

theater work not this is his first feature film he's also notable for being the

first black man to portray the phantom in Phantom of the Opera on Broadway.
