Julian Moore, Michael Kane, Chuitel, a Geo4, and Pam Ferris, who you might recognize as the hideous

great aunt from Prisoner of Azkaban.

Jim, I had never seen this movie before. It's been on my watch list for a long long time. I know it comes up a lot of times when people whenever we're watching stuff people's like, oh this reminds me of children to men or whatever.

I thought this movie was set in the slums of Brazil and it involves some kind of alien,

alien occupation.

It's like a district nine meets.

Yeah, like it's some kind of independent day

meets some dog millionaire.

Yeah, it was some kind of like, exactly right, like class conscious, apartheid allegory, you know, thing,

and what I got was a fucking, I don't know, this movie is a trip to watch with the current state of the world.

And was really emotionally affecting for me.

And it's also just an amazing film.

The shots that this movie cost 70 million dollars

and every fucking penny is up there on screen twinkling at you.
