Hello, everybody, and welcome in to another edition of the Capitol's face-off podcast,

The Game Edition.

We finally have some hockey to talk about.

The Capitals played their first game on Thursday night against the Ottawa Senators,

and boy, was it a fun one.

Down 3-1 in the third period, Alex Oveshkin did what he does best.

Scored three goals to force overtime, a hat trick in one period to force overtime,

where the Capitol was eventually won in a shootout 5 to 4,

the start off the season 1 and 0.

But enough from me.

Let's hear from Tark El Bashir, Rob Carlin, and Alan May.

Well, it wasn't always pretty, but the capitals, thanks to an explosive wild bananas,

third period led by an Alex Ovechkin natural hat trick.

All five on five, the caps escape with a shootout win in Ottawa to open their season with a 5-4 result

and now head home for Saturday's home opener against the Montreal Canadians

as we welcome into our capitals face-off podcast for Friday, October 6th.

I am Rob Carlin and my good friend Alan Alan May, here excited as the Caps get a win.

And I think we had a pretty fun and good broadcast with a lot of people stepped up and had good games.
