All right, here on Fevered Dreams, we're going to take you on plunges into the sometimes hilarious and sometimes scary world of the American right as they continue to influence our politics.

Even in the aftermath of the Trump administration, the energy of these conspiracy theorists,

these grifters, and these influencers is still pushing our mainstream political landscape

closer and closer to a breaking point.

Okay, I swear I am not making this up simply to stroke the ego of the guy

who we are about to introduce. But just FYI, Feverdreams, listeners, I am a serial masochist,

so I like to read the comments. Read the tweets. I read the emails and the other messages

in which you guys give us grief every week for the content and

delivery of this show. A recurring criticism, as in one that I've seen multiple times, is variations

on the following theme, which I'm about to lightly paraphrase. Gee, this guy Swin sucks so hard.

We need to bring back stronger host to the show, like when David Roth was host of the show.

Let me be clear. David Roth, who is a founder of Defector Media and a terrific sports and political

columnist, has guest hosted fever dreams precisely one time. This was last year when he joined us

for hosting duties not long after he persever appeared on the show as a guest.

So, without further ado, since the streets have apparently been calling for the return of the Roth,

allow me to welcome our guest host for this week.
