the energy of these conspiracy theorists, these grifters, and these influencers is still pushing

our mainstream political landscape closer and closer to a breaking point. Kelly Weil, do you

I know that's not a compelling start to this podcast episode, but my God, help me out here.

When I have been avoiding talking about Joe Rogan so goddamn hard, like every time I want to weigh in in Twitter, I have to

like have like a virtual shock caller for myself where I'll do it like very euphemistically. God

damn do I want nothing to do with this discourse. And yet it is this all consuming black hole

of just chatter and angst online.

And here we are.

I think we have to talk a little bit about Joe Rogan.

Like fucking leader of the Republican Party, Donald Trump was getting in on it,

issuing a statement being like, Joe Rogan, you can't be weak and cowardly like this.

You can't apologize ever to the radical fake news limbs.

Like it was just so pathetic.

It's like, of course, his brain is hotwired to be obsessed with a news story exactly like this.

It has all the media cattyness and backfire and culture war that he could want in any form of Trumpian Republican politics.
