Hello everybody and welcome to the Derek Hunter podcast. I am your guest host, Dean Carriannis.

I probably know who I am by now. Derek will just refer to Dean, which is nice, but I'm always suspicious.

I suspect that means people can't pronounce my last name. That's why my

Twitter handle is Joseph History Dean. I'm never going to make anybody try to spell my last names.

In fact, I'll confide to you that once out of every 400 times, I judge, I misspell my own

last name. Those are the reasons why as a young child I was jealous of the ease.

Anybody with a nice short name out there, I envy you. You guys would be half out through the SATs

and I would be sitting there. I can't remember this whole thing where I would put in all the A's

first. That saved

me a little bit of time, but boy, you guys will be halfway through. I have a feeling if that's why

the Asian community is overrepresented. Part of the reason in things like the SATs, the LSAT is the

Elsats is because you guys have really short names usually. The Asians have Lee. They have Han. I have a friend named

Han. My friend, a little, a few friends in the Han family grew up with them. That's nice and short.

I used to say this still in my high school. Say, man, you guys are taught I got three times as much.

But anyway, I'm not bitter over that. As long as it's not a check or something

while I'm signing my name or when I was doing signings for my book, while my cookbook with my

wife, I only signed my first name. There's no tricks to try to get around it.

We're going to dive into some news today. There's some things that I've been thinking,

hey, I think Derek's audience would

benefit from hearing this. And that's all the way that I do show prep. That's what I learned

from all those years working for Rush Limbaugh. He would always tell us the show is the thing.

And it's something I still say to James Golden both snardly these days when we talk. And I'll compliment him on his, well, now he's syndicated his, he's built his shell from WABC, and he's always been our radio guy. And I'll always compliment him on the little things he does. And I'll say, what is the thing, James? And he'll say the show is the thing, or vice versa, because it wasn't the ads,
