Welcome to Our Hen House. This is Marianne Sullivan. And this is Jasmine Singer. And on this week's show, Jasmine will be joined by Zach Sherwin, who is a comedian, the host of the Crossword Show, and a long-time vegan. He is also my brother.

Not really. Why did you say that? Because it'll become evident when you hear the interview,

but we have so many parallels, and we have the same graying pattern in our hair and we're like basically the

same age and both grew up in the same kinds of families. These are possibly topics that are

of interest only to you and Zach. So Zach is a friend of, we have a mutual friend, Mike Kaplan,

the comedian who is on tour right now for

people who want to see a funny vegan comedian because everyone needs to laugh right now.

And he put me in touch with Zach, who's a longtime vegan. We've been vegan about the same

amount of time because we are related. And I just love his brain. Like I loved talking to him about issues because he's not like an

activist in the same way that a lot of our guests are. He's more of like a, you know, a vegan who's

an anti-racist activist and who is just very socially aware in which is imbued in his work,

it is a very different perspective.

And I've heard already from the Our Henhouse team how much they,

because they listened before everyone else,

how much they loved this interview.

So I loved it too.

He was just so likable.

I know I say this sometimes, but I genuinely forgot we were recording. And I was like, oh, I forgot. I

forgot. We're doing an interview. So super excited about this. I don't know whether that's a plus or a

minus, but I'm sure Zach is great. He is. So let's talk about the week. There's a lot of things going
