week's show, Jasmine will be joined by poet and artist Linnea Rischke, who will be discussing,

among many other things, her new book

Kindling from Lantern Publishing and Media.

This was kind of an extraordinary interview, wasn't it?

It was a very unusual situation.

Yeah, absolutely.

I always enjoy speaking with artists of various mediums, and Linnea is actually an artist of various mediums,

which we get into on the interview and clearly just a deeply sensitive soul, extremely thoughtful

and insightful about animal rights issues and how it collides with art and when it should,

for lack of a better word, which I think is

a complex question. When is it art and when is it something else entirely? I'm always glad

when you do the artsy interviews because I'm not very good at them. I'm such a literal person.

It's a good thing I became a lawyer. I'm very glad when you do

the super brainy interviews because I don't know about that. Yeah, but I'm always a little intimidated

by them. Anyway, I think people are going to really enjoy my conversation with Lanaya. I actually

had that thing happen where I forgot I was interviewing her and I thought we were just talking because

there's just a lot of layers

there and I enjoyed peeling back a few with her.

Were you wondering while you were sitting at your desk with your microphone in front of you?

Okay. Okay. Yeah. I get, I get it. So I just got back from international travel.
