Well, hello everyone. This is EU Entangle with your favorite hosts, Alex, and Victor Aguilard.

0:06.8

And today we bring you an exciting topic. But before we dive into the topic, Alex, because the topic is artificial intelligence.

0:14.6

And it got me thinking, you know, that for all they talk about how AI is going to help us find novel cures and maybe, you know, crack

0:22.6

nuclear fission and perhaps even find extraterrestrial life or get answers to our deepest

0:28.9

philosophical questions. It also reminded me of a few cases when AI has gone wild or maybe

0:35.7

incredibly wrong.

So reading on the internet, I found this case the days back a couple of years ago. And this involves Grok, which is this large language model developed by Elon Musk, which,

So Grog probably confused a common basketball term in which players are said to be throwing

1:38.7

bricks when they take an airball shot that doesn't hit the rim.

1:42.2

And what had happened is that Thompson had a really

1:45.5

rough night. He hadn't had any good shots, you know, he hadn't scored any points in the previous

1:50.8

game. So basically all these users had complained on X that he had been throwing bricks all night

1:57.2

long at their windows and that their houses were destroyed. So Groch just reported that

2:01.5

on Twitter and then created a lot of confusion. Also, notably, that was Thompson's last game with that
