You know, just laying out a plan for where does charging have to be? Where are the gaps? Those are things that transcend any one auto maker.

But first, let's talk about the week. Molly, what were you working on this week?

It was a busy week for me. I published a story about these videos that were released last month from a hacking

conference in Las Vegas, where there is a specific sort of section of the conference that's

focused on hacking vehicles and automaker systems. And so I spoke to a couple of the hackers for

that story and a privacy expert and

explained why the auto industry was a little bit of the butt of the joke at the hacker

conference in Las Vegas. And then I also covered a meeting by a House Select Committee on China

about how China has been basically manipulating prices at the exact moment

to undermine U.S. firms that are trying to enter the rare earths and critical material supply

chain. Okay. So for hackers, you know, we had upstream on pretty recently talking about,

you know, what could the next big hack be and is the

auto industry ready? So it seems to tie into that. Why was the auto industry like the butt of the

joke, as you said? They were just talking about how the systems were kind of easy to hack, how they

didn't have permissions controls. One of the videos, which was from a hacker who accessed, like, vehicle controls in a bus

by hacking the Wi-Fi network said that he did it almost by accident.
