So what I decided to do for this week's series is to share with you ways to inoculate

yourself against some of the biggest stressors you face.

These stressors may surprise you, so I'll share with you your insight for today as you

are guided in a stress inoculation meditation following your insight.

So the insight I'm sharing with you is from the Mayo Clinic.

They're sharing their studies on stress and your brain.

Your brain comes hardwired with an alarm system for your protection against stress.

And this is so that when your brain begins to perceive a threat, it signals your body

to release a burst of hormones, and this increases your heart rate and your blood pressure.

You might know this otherwise as the fight or flight response, and it fuels you to deal

with whatever real or perceived threat you may be facing.

Well once that threat is gone, your body is intended to return to a normal relaxed state,

but what can happen is non-stop complications of modern life and the demands we face each

day and expectations mean that some people's alarm systems rarely shut off.
