Welcome to Breakfast with the Beats.

It's our sixth episode already.

We're chugging along here on a Saturday morning.

Dave, I have to tell you something.

The first Saturday that I have not had baseball in more than a month,

and baseball season ended this week, for me, coaching-wise anyway.

And I am really enjoying life here with my coffee, talking baseball with you, and not having to be anywhere in an hour.

It's a pretty remarkable feeling.

I can tell you're excited for a couple reasons.

One, the smile on your face, I haven't seen that in a long time.

And number two, it's actually our seventh episode. You are so distracted about

what you don't have to do. This is our James Bond episode right here. It is so. Wow.

I guess time when you're having fun, you know. That's what it is. How are you this fine morning?

I'm doing okay.

I know last week I was feeling a little under the weather and this week I didn't get any better.

So one of those week-long spring colds, it's stellar stuff, but I'm okay because we're talking about football.

This is all the medicine I need. We're talking about football. Who's tired of football? You did. You said football. Who's tired, Dave? See, now I'm distracted. Look at me. Okay, let's reset here.
