There was a time in my life where I was a very local, very small farmer being that I grew

microgrates for local restaurants here around San Diego for about 68 months of my life when

in my early 20s and so I got I guess I suppose a little taste grant of farming very little taste

of farming I know you grew up in more big ag so you know that story must be a very small scale

for you but that being said I mean I've gotten plugged into the market gardening world certainly

to the gardening world and this whole idea of local farms has been it's been really cool to see

it kind of blossom over the last maybe 15, 10, 15 years or so I'm so curious up you know where

you guys are at do you guys do a lot of selling at that's on the farm yeah so our we have two

on-site farm stand two days a week we do during the season and then we're part of another

organization called the South Spokane Farm Corridor which is there's a lot of small farms around us

kind of doing the same thing they grow other things and I do you know some proteins animals

and stuff like that but just having our neighbors come by from us you know it's very satisfying and

that's yeah that's what we're trying to do how much of the work you guys do is supported by the

the stand itself so all of our sales that I mean that's probably this year I'm guessing it's

probably going to be about 60 to 70 percent of our sales it's been higher in the past but we have a

few other places to sell out now so and that that was one of our biggest hurdles is because a lot of

us got in it's just a farm and then you get you know do marketing and get it out there so we're

selling at a local a local diner Billy's diner and then four roots which is they help with the

it's called we feed Washington or we feed law so they do emergency food boxes for families so be

selling to them also but our farm stand that's where we want everybody come out because then they

get you know when you go out and you see we give tours all the time one of our our former

stewards we'd always lose them because he would go out and just give tours to people at the stand
