We talk a lot about growing your own food here on the Epic Gardening podcast, but the

truth is, a lot of our food is grown for us by large-scale agriculture, or as we talked

about yesterday, smaller-scale agriculture in these local farms.

But, Grant, I think what's interesting about having you on this show is that you kind of

grew up in a bigger ag world and are now working obviously in a smaller ag world, so you

have the benefit of seeing both of these methodologies, and I'm curious on your take of, you know,

these are sort of pitted against one another, obviously, and I'm curious if you think that's

fair or not.

I truly believe that big egg and small egg can and should coexist, and there's arguments

for both, but we have to have both, unless you're willing to pay $10 for a little for bread

and 20 bucks for a gallon of milk, we have to have big egg out there, and a lot of these

farms that I grew up with are generational, like four or five generations.

So they are, and my good friend has taken over his farm, he's changing some of the practices

going to, you know, I guess there's no such thing as no till, but you know, direct seed,

they call it now, you're not turning over the ground, you're using less intakes, and

how I kind of saw a big egg going for a while was, it's kind of like I got at the gym

that, you know, can bench press all that weight, he's huge up top and then he walks away

and he's got these little spin and legs, right?

So yeah, you're getting all these results, but then, you know, there's no foundation, and

a lot of them, a lot of the farmers are seeing that, you know, I can't speak for all over

the nation, but, you know, changing the way they do, they farm, and there's less inputs,

and maybe they're, you know, their, their bushels aren't as high, but they're making more
