The celebration is that August 1st, 2018 was the official start date of pop. So it is our four year anniversary, which is absolutely insane to think about. It feels surreal. It feels like I woke up yesterday and was being fired and having the carpet

pulled out from under me at my previous job and needing to figure out how to

make this work. It's like, okay, sink or swim time.

I guess we're starting a business.

And yeah, it was crazy.

It was literally my birthday was July 23rd,

and I got fired right around that time and then it was about a month less than a month

after my grandfather had passed and I was I was reeling a bit like what am I going to do and I only

retell that story to paint a picture of resilience and just things not needing to be perfect.

And oftentimes, when the security blanket is removed,

that's when you actually get shit done.

Sometimes we have this little safety net and we lean on it, we get all nice and cozy with it. Sometimes just removing plan B or removing the safety net is the best thing you can do for yourself. Now in this

particular situation I certainly did not expect all of that to unfold the way that

it did but I am incredibly grateful that it played out.
