Burkina Faso to resume diplomatic relations with North Korea, Che, We, Chou, approved

as ambassador to the West African country.

Burkina Faso is a small nation of 21 million, 274,000 square kilometers, landlocked.

It is, apparently, from the photograph commanded by a military leader and his beret-bearing

colleagues.

However, North Korea is now present.

The decision will allow the two countries, says the Foreign Affairs Minister Burkina Faso,

to maintain exemplarate bilateral cooperation in several areas.

Sub-Saharan Africa needs everything.

It does not need North Korea and its proliferation skills.

Is this something one-off or is this a story that's much larger about North Korea's activities

in Africa?

No, this is not a one-off.

Although, in a way, it is because of the resumption of diplomatic activity, diplomatic relations

that were cut in 2017 because of the United Nations sanctions.

But North Korea has operated throughout Africa for decades.
