Zach Arnett is not one to offer a lot of coach-speak.

There's no question about that.

He is not one to sit out there and kind of make you feel good.

And you know what?

From a defensive coordinator, that's what I want.

I don't need the touchy-feely Zach Arnett. He can save that aspect of his life for something now. But when he's talking about Bulldog defense, I want aggression, I want attitude, I want the truth. And that's what you get with him. It's refreshing. It is very, I saw I got on jeanspage com the message board uh over on our true maroon board he goes you know he kind of reminds me

a little bit of todd grantham i kind of get the same sense too there's an edge with zach

kind of there was with grantham and i really got along well with grantham i i you know i was sorry to see

him go grant them's one of those guys who just kind of had a quiet confidence about him. It's like, you know what, I know some things that perhaps the offense doesn't know, and we're going to go out here and exploit that. I get the same vibe from Zach Arnett. He just has this quiet confidence that, you know what, we're going to work hard, we're going to work hard and work hard, but you know what, once we get out there, we're going to unleash the hounds. I can't say that's always been the case. I really liked Bob Shupilop. Bob was one of those guys too that was a blitz happy guy, but I don't know that Bob maybe carried himself in the same way.

I'm not being critical.

Everybody's a little bit different.
