Throughout this week you are gaining insight and meditation techniques that you can do

while you meditate or as you go throughout your day and these are techniques that are going to help you

manage your sorrow your grief and those emotions that you find are difficult to process.

In fact, you may not be processing them.

You may be feeling as though you're stuck with certain emotional states that may even seem to haunt you

and you may be experiencing what is termed as disenfranchised grief.

This is known as hidden grief or sorrow,

and it refers to any kind of grief or emotional state that goes

unacknowledged or unvalidated by social norms. This could include perhaps dealing with the loss of a loved

one who may have committed suicide or somebody who's struggling with substance abuse issues.

So there could be a type of stigma attached to your sorrow.

There's also the type of grief that society tends to minimize and it can be the

loss of a pet or a beloved teacher or mentor or a coworker, someone that people don't

associate with attaching so much meaning to your life, when in fact these losses could greatly impact

your life, and it's not something you're going to get over so quickly.

You also could experience a loss of a feeling of safety.

Maybe you've experienced abuse or neglect. Maybe you're experiencing a loss of

mobility due to health concerns or dementia or Alzheimer's disease, or maybe a loss of your possessions.

Maybe you moved recently and you're having a hard time adapting to your new place.
