| 0:00.0 | This is episode 2078 of the Daily Meditation Podcast. How are you doing? I'm Mary Meckley, |
| 0:10.0 | and I welcome you back to our series we're exploring this week, which is all about stress |
| 0:16.5 | breakthroughs. This has to do with those moments in your life, especially these days, when you feel |
| 0:26.6 | put on the spot with the kind of stress you may be experiencing. I don't know about you, but since the |
| 0:36.2 | coronavirus, I've noticed that people just aren't |
| 0:40.6 | quite themselves. |
| 0:43.0 | In fact, I've noticed that people really lash out quite a bit these days. |
| 0:50.2 | We see that with protests, but we also see it in interpersonal relationships as well. |
| 0:57.6 | A couple weeks ago, someone had invited me to be interviewed on their podcast. |
| 1:06.2 | So I agreed, and on the day of the podcast, I was there waiting for the link so that we could join together so I could be interviewed. |
| 1:19.0 | And I never received the link. |
| 1:22.7 | And it was six minutes after the time we were supposed to be meeting, I received a text message saying |
| 1:32.8 | how this person had been waiting for me. It had been only six minutes and that I could consider |
| 1:42.6 | the interview canceled. I thought this was the strangest message because I've |
| 1:51.5 | been interviewed many times and usually if somebody is late, especially less than 10 minutes |
| 1:59.2 | late and I wasn't late. |
| 2:01.6 | I was there on time waiting for the link to be sent to me. |
| 2:05.6 | Usually people will check in first to say, |
| 2:08.6 | hey, is everything okay? |
| 2:10.6 | We have a meeting at this time, |
| 2:13.6 | and I've been waiting and do you need a new link, |
| 2:22.9 | or else you'll receive a phone call from the person checking in with you because technology doesn't always work. |
