Watchers of Justice Katanji Brown Jackson's contentious confirmation hearings may have noticed the GOP's pension for

pedophilia related questions. It's not that they give a shit about child welfare. No, sir, it was the

loudest of dog whistles being blown from Mr. Insurrection himself, Josh fucking Hawley. He was followed by a who's who of GOP senators who fell in line and seemed to relish the

opportunity to smear the good name of Justice Jackson to score political points and rile up

their base of crazies.

I think we just have a basic question to ask, are we going to get a judge here who's going to protect children or who's going to protect

child predators? It's a simple question. It's one I think that every parent in America would like answered, but it's one that the White House doesn't want to answer. And so far, Judge Jackson doesn't want to answer it. Total radio silence from her. And if you look at her record, what you see is this is someone who has consistently

let sex predators, child sex predators, off the hook. If you were wondering why Republican

senators sounded like QAnon obsesses in the confirmation hearing for Judge Katanji Brown Jackson,

it is because apparently that is exactly the constituency they are catering to. That is why, apparently,

they spent the past few days attacking her for supposedly being soft on criminals convicted

of possessing child abuse material, even after that particular smear was widely debunked.

Republican senators questioning Jackson didn't explicitly mention QAnon or a shadowy oracle Q. They didn't mention
