And Brazil are various industries, but most important right now, Brazilian food.

However, that's China's concern. America's concern looks to be

tariffs, or is it? Mary Anastacio Grady, the America's columnist for the Wall Street Journal

editorial page, raises the possibility that the story of tariffs has different motives, depending on

what day the President of the United States mentions tariffs in Brazil.

The tariffs on Brazil, I can't summarize because sometimes it's 50%, sometimes it might be more.

Sometimes it's about a trade deficit, so-called.

Other times it's about how much money the Trump administration

claims is taking in because of its tariff policy. And then most recently, with Brazil,

it was about the conduct of a member of the Supreme Court, DeMarise, the former President

Bolsonaro, and the present President, Lula de Silva, choose one or all three.

The tariffs are critical to the relationship between the U.S. and Brazil.

The U.S. has never had a really open relationship with Brazil and trade.

Brazil has a very protectionist history during the military dictatorships that has continued after it became, went back to democracy.

And so it's always been a little bit of a protected market.
