I made the conscious decision of actually talking about my mental health with a therapist.

I made the conscious decision of focusing on my health, cycling or going to the gym and everything

There's three things that I can discuss that came out of all this.

So it's a two-year journey and I hope to continue it for the rest of my life.

Number one was I dropped about 40 kilos,

which is about 80 pounds, right? Blub it, felt better, loved myself for it. The second thing was

the swings in my emotions and that sort of mental health, they decreased tenfold. I was able to

be calm in extremely stressful situations and able to find a

path forward. I saw clarity that I'd never seen before. The third thing was I hired a counselor

whom I could speak to about mental health. So even if there were certain issues that might have

come from before right for example

for me it was probably about the fact that i immigrated canada in 2008 and although it sounds very

rosy when i'm saying this i mean i had to work and you know picking blueberries for six months

and that sort of experience card me from going for a desk job to doing a manual job which i'd

never done before and there was some sort of resentment

there which I was able to talk about it so there's there all these things you know that that come

with the whole with the whole plan and and that sort of has helped ground me it makes me today

a lot more grateful a lot more you I would say, humble to be able to
