For today's show, we're sharing our number one episode of the year, my interview with writer Lori Willever, the author of one of the fall's most anticipated books, Bourdain, the definitive

oral biography. Lori joined me this past July at Newsstand Studios at Rockefeller Center in New York

City to talk about Anthony Bourdain. As his longtime assistant, or lieutenant, as he called her,

and his co-author, Lori was enmeshed in the details of his life and work. When the

beloved chef and journalist died in 2018, Lori lost a boss, a friend, and a trusted collaborator.

She was left to finish up a joint project of theirs, a book titled World Travel, that would

share inside details on the places Bourdane had loved and visited over the years.

I'm not surprised this was our top episode of the year.

Lori is so brilliant and always a pleasure to interview,

and the food world's affection for Anthony Bourdain is as strong as ever.
